Job Purpose
The Branch Manager will be responsible for achieving branch retail and SME financial targets through effective sales management and high-quality customer service. The role involves implementing established product programs within the branch while maintaining strong relationships with retail, SME, and corporate customers.
The successful candidate will also work closely with the centralized operations team to ensure the branch operates efficiently and complies with financial institution standards and regulatory guidelines issued by the Bank of Tanzania.
Duties and Responsibilities
The selected candidates will perform the following key duties.
Branch Performance Management
• Achieve all financial and operational targets set for the branch.
• Implement strategies to improve branch performance and productivity.
Customer Service Management
• Ensure high standards of customer service across all banking operations.
• Address customer concerns and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Branch Operations Management
• Manage daily operations and support activities within the branch.
• Guide, support, and supervise branch staff to maintain efficiency and service quality.
Marketing and Business Development
• Develop and implement marketing programs to promote banking products and services.
• Identify opportunities to grow retail and SME business portfolios.
Human Resource and Staffing Management
• Assess manpower requirements and maintain well-structured operations within the branch.
• Develop clear job roles and ensure proper staffing levels.
Administrative and Financial Control
• Monitor administrative activities to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational control.
• Ensure compliance with banking procedures and internal policies.
Reporting and Compliance
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of operational and financial reports.
• Supervise banking operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Deposit Mobilization
• Initiate and implement marketing strategies to mobilize deposits and expand the customer base.
Academic Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following academic requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or Marketing.
• A Master’s degree in a related field will be considered an added advantage.
Work Experience
